  • Go to the three-dot menu in the top right corner.

How to turn on translation

Recent versions of Firefox include built-in translation (Firefox Translations).

  1. Open Firefox and click the menu button (three lines) in the top-right corner.
  2. Go to Settings → General.
  3. Scroll to Language and Appearance.
  4. Under Language, choose your preferred language (for example English).
  5. When you visit a page in another language, Firefox should show a translation bar at the top of the page.

If you do not see the translation bar

  • Check that Firefox is up to date.
  • Try refreshing the page.

 

How to turn on translation

Safari can translate web pages on macOS, iPadOS, and iOS.

On Mac

  1. Open Safari → Settings (or Preferences).
  2. Go to the General tab and set your preferred language to English.
  3. Visit a page in another language.
  4. Click the Translate button in the address bar (or the aA icon on iOS/iPadOS).
  5. Choose Translate to English.

On iPhone or iPad

  1. Open the page in Safari.
  2. Tap the aA icon in the address bar.
  3. Tap Translate to English.

Note: Translation may not be available for all languages or on all devices.

         

How to turn on translation

Edge uses a translation feature similar to Chrome.

  1. Open Edge and click the three dots (menu) in the top-right corner.
  2. Go to Settings → Languages.
  3. Turn on “Offer to translate pages that aren't in a language you read.”
  4. Make sure English is listed under your preferred languages.

Translate a page right away

  • Click the Translate icon in the address bar when it appears, or
  • Right-click the page and choose “Translate to English.”
